Encourage your group to become a local 'Trail Operator.'

A 'Trail Operator' is a group that builds, operates and maintains a local section of the Trans Canada Trail. These community groups take full ownership of their sections, and will make the Trans Canada Trail a reality.

The Trail Operator organizes the trail development process, works closely with community volunteers, and has a liaison and reporting relationship with the Alberta TrailNet Society.

Alberta TrailNet helps with practical advice and assistance through every step of the process, from making plans to getting funding to the great fun of building and maintaining your section of trail.

Your group can make a lasting community contribution by creating and maintaining a local Trail section.
